Even though the Return of the Chili Queens Festival at Market Square has been downsized, that didn't stop the Chili Queens of the Foodie Blogosphere from returning and making chili for the monthly Chili Cook-Off Challenge here.Karen, the chili queen of Domestic Muse, made Calypso Chili
last month, but since we didn't have the cook-off last month, we're including it in our special Return of the Chili Queens Cook-Off this month.
I made Chili Carnitas to honor the heritage of the Chili Queens.
Reeni, Cinnamon, Spice, and Everything Nice, a chili queen atheart, made Avocado Chicken Chile de Arbol.

Who's your favorite chili queen this month? Please visit these foodies to check out their chili recipes, then come back here and vote for your favorite. The winner receives this winner's badge to proudly display on her blog.
The Chili Cook-Off Challenge happens every month. Make an original chili recipe, post it on your blog by the 20th, along with the badge and a link to the rules, then send me the link to your post.Speaking of chili cook-offs, CASI is having a chili cook-off on Sunday, May 24th, beginning around 11:00 A.M. next to Mi Tierra's restaurant. I'll be one of the judges so I'll get to taste some great chili and hopefully collect more chili recipes for the chili cookbook I'm in the process of writing.
