Return of the Chili Queens Chili Cook-Off Challenge

Even though the Return of the Chili Queens Festival at Market Square has been downsized, that didn't stop the Chili Queens of the Foodie Blogosphere from returning and making chili for the monthly Chili Cook-Off Challenge here.

Karen, the chili queen of Domestic Muse, made Calypso Chili
last month, but since we didn't have the cook-off last month, we're including it in our special Return of the Chili Queens Cook-Off this month.

Karen also made spicy Chipotle-Cheese-Fries Chili, solving the dilemma of what to do when your taters get soggy.

Heather, GirliChef, chili queen and true Tex-Mex foodie, made Sweet and Spicy Chili with Pom Wonderful juice. But not before chugging a few.

I made Chili Carnitas to honor the heritage of the Chili Queens.

Reeni, Cinnamon, Spice, and Everything Nice, a chili queen at
heart, made Avocado Chicken Chile de Arbol.

Speaking of chili cook-offs, CASI is having a chili cook-off on Sunday, May 24th, beginning around 11:00 A.M. next to Mi Tierra's restaurant. I'll be one of the judges so I'll get to taste some great chili and hopefully collect more chili recipes for the chili cookbook I'm in the process of writing.
